James MacRae Poetry Contest

The St. Marys Public Library is proud to announce that we will once again be hosting the James MacRae Poetry Contest in April & May, with an awards ceremony taking place in the Town Hall Auditorium on May 16^th.

This year's contest will include five age groups from Kindergarten to Grade 12: grades K-2, grades 3&4, grades 5&6, grades 7&8 and grades 9-12. There will also be an adult category (Ages 17+). Submissions will be due April 27th, and an awards ceremony will follow on May 16th wherein winning poets will be invited to read their poems and receive their awards. This year, there are two submission categories: General and "Life in a Fishbowl." Participants are invited to submit a poem in one or both categories. 

Please pick up a submission form from the Library or download and print the form and attach it to your original poem. Submissions can be emailed to libraryinfo@stmaryspubliclibrary.ca or dropped off at the Library during our open hours.
