Town Services

The Town of St. Marys offers a full range of services to its residents, businesses and visitors. Council places a high priority on building a “complete and healthy community” and as a result provides a host of active and passive recreation opportunities. From swimming to skating, tennis to t-ball, hiking trails to picnics, St. Marys offers many activities to the young and the young at heart. We take a leading role in raising our children, keep our seniors active and safeguarding our community. As a separated Town, St. Marys’ complement of services is more complete than many municipalities in Ontario. Our team ensures that your garbage and recyclables are managed, basic services (water and waste water) are maintained and your public spaces kept clean.

The beautiful Thames River winds its way through 30 hectares of scenic trails, parkland and country roads, setting the stage for a truly memorable visit. Enjoy the small town experience of visiting our one-of-a kind cafés, antique shops and countryside inns. Explore the unique limestone architecture or refresh with a beverage at an old fashioned ice cream parlour. You can experience the flavour of the local heritage at the St. Marys Museum or Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, or take in one of the many festivals and events the town hosts each year.

Free guided walking trails are offered during the summer. Mid-November through December enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides around Milt Dunnell Field to experience the magic of the winter holiday light display.

Town Hall

The historic Town Hall, built in 1891, is the heart of St. Marys’ municipal and administrative operations. This portion of the site offers resources related to St. Marys’ Mayor, Council and Sub Committees that help guide the Town’s operations. Information on the Clerks Office and Finance Department is also available as the lead for valuable information of municipal meeting agendas, minutes and reports, as well as, municipal Bylaws and budgets.

PRC FAQs

1. How much is it to rent the ice?

Minor Rental: $138.31 (winter pricing)
Adult Rental: $168.28 (winter pricing)

2. What is the difference between a private ice rental and ticket ice?

Private Rental:
Can be booked at any time. Full rental price applies. Exclusive to the renter & cannot be “bumped”. 72 hour cancellation policy. If booking 3 or more private ice rentals a contract is required.

Ticket Ice:
Can only be booked 72 hours in advance. $44.00 for 1-4people on the ice, additional skaters are $11.00 each. Exclusive to the renter but can be “bumped” by another renter who is willing to confirm a private rental.

3. What are the hours that ticket ice is offered? What is the cost?

Winter: Ticket ice can be booked from 8:00 a.m. up to half an hour before the last private ice rental.
Cost: $44.00 for 1-4people, additional skaters are $11.00 each

4. Do you offer any programs for younger children?

Swimming lessons: 4mos. +
Soccer squirts: 18mos. +
Hip hop: 4yrs +

5. How much are admissions to Cadzow & Quarry?

Youth: $3.50
Adult: $4.75
Senior: $4.50

6. What are the hours of Cadzow Pool?

Summer: Daily 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mon & Wed 6-8pm (for July)

7. What are the hours of the Quarry?

Summer: Daily 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

8. Is there an open swim today?

Public swimming is available on Saturdays & Sundays at the PRC from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

9. Is the pool salt water? What temperature is the pool?

Yes the pool is salt water and maintained to approximately 28 degrees Celsius

10. How do I turn on the Splash pad?

The splash pad can be activated by walking past the sensors on the railroad crossing feature.
