Town Services

The Town of St. Marys offers a full range of services to its residents, businesses and visitors. Council places a high priority on building a “complete and healthy community” and as a result provides a host of active and passive recreation opportunities. From swimming to skating, tennis to t-ball, hiking trails to picnics, St. Marys offers many activities to the young and the young at heart. We take a leading role in raising our children, keep our seniors active and safeguarding our community. As a separated Town, St. Marys’ complement of services is more complete than many municipalities in Ontario. Our team ensures that your garbage and recyclables are managed, basic services (water and waste water) are maintained and your public spaces kept clean.

The beautiful Thames River winds its way through 30 hectares of scenic trails, parkland and country roads, setting the stage for a truly memorable visit. Enjoy the small town experience of visiting our one-of-a kind cafés, antique shops and countryside inns. Explore the unique limestone architecture or refresh with a beverage at an old fashioned ice cream parlour. You can experience the flavour of the local heritage at the St. Marys Museum or Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, or take in one of the many festivals and events the town hosts each year.

Free guided walking trails are offered during the summer. Mid-November through December enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides around Milt Dunnell Field to experience the magic of the winter holiday light display.

Town Hall

The historic Town Hall, built in 1891, is the heart of St. Marys’ municipal and administrative operations. This portion of the site offers resources related to St. Marys’ Mayor, Council and Sub Committees that help guide the Town’s operations. Information on the Clerks Office and Finance Department is also available as the lead for valuable information of municipal meeting agendas, minutes and reports, as well as, municipal Bylaws and budgets.

St. Marys Kids Klub Programs

The St. Marys Kids Klub program is full of seasonal activities, carefully planned to match varying skill levels, ages, abilities and interests. Activities include: swimming/skating, outdoor recreational play, crafts, local field trips, and co-operative games and much more. Our experienced and friendly staff members are trained in High Five to provide a quality program that gives the kids the opportunity to make new friends, play together, work together and take part in exciting new experiences. Nutritious snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon, and children are required to bring a bagged lunch.

Jr. Kids Klub (ages JK/SK) held at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, but please register by calling the Early Learning Centre at 519-284-3121.

Sr. Kids Klub (ages Gr. 1-5) held at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, Please register at Guest Services or call 519-284-2160.

Program Hours:
Kids Klub runs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Drop off time is 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Program activities are planned for 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and pick up time is 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Location:
Kids Klub will be held in either the Endzone or the Community Centre in the PRC. The Pyramid Recreation Centre is located at 317 James Street South, in St. Marys.

PA Day Programs: September 28, 2012, November 2, 2012, January 31, 2013, April 19, 2013, June 7 & 28, 2013

December Holiday Program: December 28 - 29, 2012 and January 2 - 4, 2013

March Break Program: March 11 - 15, 2013

Summer Holiday Dates: July 2 - August 30, 2013 (excluding August 5). Form available at a later date

Program Fees:
$32.50 (7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Payment is due upon registration. Cash, debit, credit card or cheques are accepted. Post dated cheques dated July 1, 2013 and August 1, 2013 will be accepted for the summer program.
