Where can we help you?
We’re reviewing how municipal services are delivered at our four downtown locations:
- Town Hall
- 14 Church St. N
- The St. Marys Public Library
- The St. Marys Train Station
We’re doing this review to:
- Create vibrant public spaces within the downtown
- Make it easier for residents to access municipal services in the downtown
- Improve internal processes by grouping similar services and staff together
We recently completed a public survey about this project and are now analyzing the results. Stay tuned to this page for further information!
About the project |
We’re undertaking the Downtown Service Location Review in response to:
- A 2017 library space needs study that identified a need for more library space to serve the Town’s current and future population
- A 2019 KPMG audit that recommended a review to determine the best locations for delivering municipal services
The goal of this project is to develop a plan that outlines the most efficient way to provide services from our downtown locations (Town Hall, 14 Church St. N., the library, and the train station).

Project steering committee |
We’ve established an advisory committee to ensure the views of the public and key stakeholders are considered throughout this project. The committee is made up of members of Council, downtown residents and business owners, as well as heritage, library, and arts enthusiasts.
The committee is working with an external consultant to:
- Understand how Town services and programs are currently delivered in the downtown
- Complete a comprehensive engagement process to gather feedback on the uses of downtown municipal facilities
- Make recommendations on how to best organize services by location
Learn more about the structure and role of the committee by reviewing its Term of Reference.
