Town Hall fire siren temporary disconnectionThe Fire Siren will be disconnected due to close proximity to workers completing the Bell Tower project. All Fire Services will operate as usual. The siren will be reconnected when the project is near completion.

On Friday, June 10, the Town of St. Marys was notified by VIA Rail Canada of a potential strike by UNIFOR, the union that represents 1,800 of 2,500 of VIA’s employees who work in stations, telephone sales offices, maintenance centres and administrative offices.
Yesterday, VIA announced that it had reached a tentative agreement with the union and that all trains and services will continue to operate as normal, without interruption.

Prolonged warm and dry conditions prompt Town call for conservation
The Town of St. Marys is asking residents to conserve water and refrain from external water use, due to prolonged warm and dry conditions.
