With colder weather approaching, the Town of St. Marys is sharing an update on the services available for individuals who are experiencing homelessness this winter.

The Town’s full-time Community Outreach Worker is in regular contact with individuals experiencing homelessness in St Marys and offers facilitation, education, and referrals for those who require socio-economic support.

The St. Marys Fire Department is reminding residents about the purpose of the siren that can be heard from distant areas of St. Marys and beyond, which acts as an alert mechanism when preparing to respond to a call.

The festive season starts this weekend
The wreaths are hung, the lights are on, and a festive buzz is in the air – the holiday season has arrived in St. Marys!
Santa Claus arrives this Friday, November 15 to kick off the season via the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Parking on Queen St. E from Water St. to Peel St. and on Water St. S from Queen St. E to Jones St. E is prohibited during the parade. Notice: In the event of a Canada Post strike resulting in an interruption to mail service, it is recommended that residents use alternative payment methods including online banking, telephone banking, and in-person payments at Town Hall or the Municipal Operations Centre.
Interlibrary Loan Services at the St. Marys Public Library will also be suspended if a strike occurs.
