Candy, costumes, and much more in store to mark Halloween on October 28

Saturday, October 28 is shaping up to be scary good in St. Marys as our community celebrates Halloween with activities for all ages!

The fun begins at 8:00 a.m. at the St. Marys Farmers’ Market located at the north end of Milt Dunnell Field. Stop by the red pick-up truck for a photo opportunity with family or in your Halloween costume! The market will be collecting donations to the St. Marys’ Salvation Army Food Bank.

Veterans to be recognized at three events for Remembrance Week

St. Marys will mark Remembrance Week 2023 with three events.

On Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the St. Marys Legion and Army and Navy will host Veterans’ Decoration Day at the St. Marys Cemetery (150 Cain St.)., Loved ones of veterans interred at St. Marys Cemetery are invited to receive complimentary flags to place at veterans' graves. Flags can be picked up at the cemetery chapel on November 4.

Pyramid Recreation Centre programs affected by power outage

UPDATE: The issue has been resolved and all programs and services are now running as usual.

A power outage that occurred this morning (October 15) is affecting facilities and services at the Pyramid Recreation Centre.

Although power to the building has been restored, there are a number of operational checks required before programming can resume. 

As a result, all programming in the building is cancelled until 12:00 p.m., with the exception of pictures for minor hockey and dry land training for...

Asphalt resurfacing project to begin October 12

The Town of St. Marys will be resurfacing sections of local roadways starting Thursday, October 12, 2023.

  • Maxwell St. from James St. S to the west end of Dunsford Cres.
  • King St. S from Jones St. E to Park St.
  • Elgin St. E from Water St. S to Wellington St. S

Museum’s Popular Seminar Series Returns on October 19

The popular St. Marys Museum seminar series returns for its eleventh season this fall with two engaging evening presentations.

On Thursday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m., the Museum will hold a seminar about historical facts and superstitions around death. Just in time for Halloween, this presentation will explore Victorian death and dying traditions in early St. Marys.
