    The 2018 election is being conducted at polling stations using ballots and vote tabulators. Individuals interested in working during the municipal election are invited to submit an application for consideration.

    Position Requirements
    • Previous municipal election experience is preferred
    • Computer/internet skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Must have use of a vehicle
    • Must be able to lift and carry items that weigh 30lbs
    • Must attend a mandatory training session (approximately 2 hours)
    • Must be available to work during the voting period on Saturday, October 6, 2018 (Advance Voting Day) and/or Saturday, October 22, 2018 (Voting Day)
      • Hours on Advance Voting Day: Polls open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. Election workers will be required to be available from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
      • Hours on Voting Day: Election workers will be required to be available from 9:00 a.m. until ballots are returned on Monday, October 22, 2018.
    Application Process
    • Download, print and complete the Election Worker Application Form
    • Submit completed forms by September 12, 2018:
      • In-person to Town Hall, lower level (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m), or
      • By mail (175 Queen Street E., PO Box 998, St. Marys, N4X 1B6)
    • Interviews may be scheduled to assist in the selection of election workers; you will be contacted after September 10, 2018.
