Town promotes online calendar as “one-stop shopping” for community event listings

There’s a lot to do in St. Marys – and the Town wants to make it easier for residents to participate in it all.

Service clubs, volunteer groups, sports associations and other organizations are encouraged to add their events to the Town’s free online calendar to create a one-stop shop for things to do in the Stonetown.

Town accepting applications for Community Policing Advisory Committee

The Town of St. Marys currently has a vacancy on its Community Policing Advisory Committee.

The Town is now accepting applications from members of the public who are interested in serving on the committee. The term of this appointment will end on November 30, 2018.

The Committee meets on a monthly basis at 9:00 am on the third Wednesday of the month. The primary responsibilities of the committee include receiving policing reports and statistics from the Chief of Police and making recommendations to...

St. Marys residents will have a new place to beat the heat this summer. The Town is currently developing the design for a splash pad that will be built in Cadzow Park later this year. The project is a joint effort between the Town and the Rotary Club of St. Marys, which has contributed $100,000 to the splash pad.

Businesses, families and community groups asked to think ahead for next holiday season

St. Marys’ holiday season officially came to a close last week as the popular WinterLights display at Milt Dunnell Field was dismantled and put in storage until next winter.

It was a busy season for the beloved display. So many visitors and residents took advantage of the free horse-drawn wagon rides that more rides and wagons were added. The entire attraction received rave reviews on social media.

The Town of St. Marys wants to make it easier for residents to learn more about local non-profit activity groups, community organizations and service clubs.

The Town is adding a new “Community Directory” section to its Recreation and Leisure Program Guide. This section will appear in print and online.

Inclusion is free of charge for eligible organizations.
