Sidewalk closure on Church Street South (between Elizabeth and Park streets)

A portion of sidewalk on Church Street South between Elizabeth Street and Park Street will be closed from Monday, July 11 to Friday, August 12 for the St. Marys Museum Wall Re-pointing Project. 

Please follow the signage and use the sidewalk across the street. The St. Marys Museum will remain accessible via the laneway from Tracy Street on the east side of Cadzow Park.

Town hosting Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste Event July 23

The Town of St. Marys is hosting its next Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste Disposal Day on Saturday, July 23, 2022. 

The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Municipal Operations Centre (MOC) located at 408 James Street South (enter off South Service Road). It is open to residents of St. Marys and Perth South. 

Items that will be accepted at the disposal event include:

  • Acids, aerosol cans (full), antifreeze
  • Bases, batteries, bleach
  • Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs), fluorescent...

The St. Marys Service Ontario office will be closed Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 10. 

It will re-open on Monday, July 11 at 8:30 AM.

Traffic and parking stall closures for Homecoming-Heritage event

Parking stalls will be closed on the section of Queen Street between Water Street and Church Street from 3:00 p.m. to around 7:30 p.m. to allow safer viewing of the Thames Crest Farms and the St. Marys Kinsmen Homecoming Parade. 

Expect traffic delays as the parade departs the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 5:30 p.m., travels up James Street, then turns left on Queen Street to make its way downtown.
