Service disruptions due to filming starting Friday, August 3, 2018

The following service disruptions will be in place starting on Friday, August 3, 2018 to accommodate the set up for the filming of CBC Television’s Murdoch Mysteries:

The parking lot at the St. Marys VIA Rail Station will be closed starting at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3. It will re-open late in the afternoon on Tuesday, August 7. The VIA Station will remain open for regular operations during this time. Alternative parking will be available at the Pyramid Recreation Centre.

Stay active this autumn with Town recreation programs

Like it or not, autumn is coming - on Monday, July 23, crews began painting the ice on the Blue Rink in the Pyramid Recreation Centre. The Town also published an online preview of its Fall & Winter Recreation & Leisure Program Guide at www.townofstmarys.com/townguide. The online version is now displayed with a page-turning software that simulates a book. Print copies will be available at most municipal facilities by the end of the month.

Programs and services to run as usual; patrons encouraged to use online catalogue

The St. Marys Public Library will soon be on the move. Starting on Monday, August 27, 2018, library services will be temporarily relocated to the End Zone on the second floor of the Pyramid Recreation Centre. The move is being made to accommodate a carpet and paint renovation that is taking place in the library building.

Summer concert series features local favourites and new talent

Back by popular demand, the St. Marys Museum will be hosting its seventh annual Melodies at the Museum summer concert series during the month of August. Every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. a different musical performance will take place outdoors at the performing arts stage in Cadzow Park. With five Wednesdays in August this year, there are five concerts to look forward to in the coming month!
