Public Open House Future Solid Waste Disposal Needs Environmental Assessment June 23

The Town is seeking input on the St. Marys Landfill Environmental Assessment results and recommendations to expand the current site.

Community members and interested parties wishing to review the project and / or provide comment can attend a Drop-in / Public Information Centre on Thursday, June 23 from 5 to 7 PM at the Municipal Operations Centre (408 James St. S.) or contact the Town’s Supervisor of Environmental Services, Dave Blake, at 519-284-2340 x 209 or dblake@town.stmarys.on.ca.

Public Works continues to monitor detour traffic - No left turns east bound off of Park St. onto Water St. S.

Our Downtown Reconstruction team continues to routinely monitor traffic conditions at the intersection of Park St. and Water St.  We thank you for your input and ask that drivers heed the no left turn signs at the location to help with traffic flow.

Planning a backyard campfire or other type of open fire?

By-Law Number 17 of 2012 stipulates that a permit is required for any open fires within the Town of St. Marys.  Anyone contravening the by-law could be convicted and liable to the penalties set out in the Provincial Offences Act. Getting a permit

  • Open Fire Permits Cost: $25
  • Duration:  Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 (during the calendar year it is issued)

Roaring Twenties Garden Party returns to the St. Marys Museum

The St. Marys Museum is stepping into the past for its fourth annual Roaring Twenties Garden Party. The event is happening on Sunday, July 10 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., on the heels of the Stonetown Heritage Festival. Local band, The Halftones, will provide live musical entertainment at 1:00 p.m. on the Museum’s picturesque front porch.
