Town of St. Marys seeking input on updated Strategic Plan

The Town of St. Marys wants to hear from you. The organization is currently in the process of updating its Strategic Plan and is looking for feedback from local stakeholders.

The Town’s first Strategic Plan was approved in 2010, following extensive consultation with community members. The plan offered valuable insights into St. Marys’ socioeconomic environment, and proposed a number of actions the Town could take to achieve its strategic goals.

Town of St. Marys revs up for fifth annual Car Show

On Saturday, August 20, Milt Dunnell Field will travel back in time as it hosts the fifth annual St. Marys Car Show. The event is open to all vintage vehicles and is an opportunity for owners and enthusiasts to come together in a celebration of classic cars.

Registration for the event begins at 10:00 a.m. and is open until 12:00 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee for each car and the first 150 owners to arrive will receive a goodie bag that includes a souvenir dash plaque. Registrants will also be entered...

Queen Street set for final paving and line painting

After several months of work, crews are preparing to put the finishing touches on Queen Street in St. Marys. During the week of August 15, a final layer of asphalt will be laid between Peel Street and Thomas Street. Permanent line painting will also be completed at this time.

Preparations for the work will begin on Wednesday, August 10. During this time, drivers can expect reduced parking and intermittent traffic disruptions on Queen Street.

There will be no parking on Queen Street to accommodate traffic...

A drill rig is scheduled to complete bore holes in the area of Wellington Street bridge. Traffic will be reduced to one lane. Localized traffic control will be in place.
