Glass Street extension maintenance underway after heavy rainfall

The Glass Street extension in the Town of St. Marys is currently undergoing maintenance. The street was graded on Monday, May 8 following several days of heavy rainfall.

Additional drainage remediation works are scheduled for later this week. Glass Street will be resurfaced when conditions allow.

Design finalized for new Cadzow Park playground

Work scheduled to begin first week of May

After surveying the public, gathering feedback from elementary school students and receiving Council approval, Town of St. Marys staff have finalized the design for the future Cadzow Park playground.

The forest-themed structure proposed by Playworld – known as Option 1 during the public consultation period - emerged as the preferred design. The design features an accessible saucer swing, climbers, interactive sensory areas, slides and more.

St. Marys Fire Department to host annual charity breakfast

The Town of St. Marys Fire Department annual breakfast is back! Each year the firefighters volunteer their time to cook breakfast for the community in order to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy, local sports and other local charities. In previous years, the Fire Department has seen over a thousand citizens attend.

Town of St. Marys receives approval to contract with Stratford Police Service

The Town of St. Marys is moving forward with its plan to contract police services from the City of Stratford. The Town’s application to bring the Stratford Police Service to St. Marys was approved by the Ontario Civilian Police Commission (OCPC) on April 13 and by members of Council on April 25.
