Holiday hours for Town facilities – Labour Day (September 4, 2023)

The following hours will be in effect for Town of St. Marys facilities for Labour Day (Monday, September 4, 2023).

Closed Monday, September 4:

  • Administrative offices (Town Hall and Municipal Operations Centre)
  • Adult Learning
  • Child Care Centre
  • Town of St. Marys EarlyON Centre
  • Fire Station
  • Friendship Centre
  • Landfill
  • Library
  • Mobility Services Offices (Rides must be booked by 12 p.m. on Friday, September 1)
  • Museum and Archives
  • Pyramid Recreation Centre (including the Aquatics Centre)
  • Service Ontario

Five residents recognized for being “Strong As Stone”

When it comes to individuals willing to go the extra mile for others, St. Marys has them in spades.

At its meeting last week, Town Council recognized five residents for their selfless deeds as part of its “Strong as Stone” program. The program allows people to nominate those whose volunteer acts benefit the community.  

Among the group was Andrew Middleton, who delivered meals during the peak of the pandemic. He also assists with fundraisers for Camp Bimini and regularly drives others to and from...

Pyramid Recreation Centre pool roof being replaced

Update (posted September 15, 2023)

The construction to replace the Pyramid Recreation Centre pool roof has been extended. Area residents and patrons may experience construction noise and odours during the roof replacement extension.

The Aquatics Centre will open for regular hours (beginning Monday, September 18) and the Pyramid Recreation Centre building will remain open to the public while work on the roof is being completed.

St. Marys Train Station service desk to be temporarily closed August 25

Disruption

The St. Marys Train Station service desk will be temporarily closed on Friday, August 25 from 5:45 to 6:45 a.m. It will re-open for regular afternoon and evening hours from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

VIA Rail and GO Train services will continue to operate during this time and tickets can be purchased online at:
