The St. Marys Service Ontario office will be closed on Friday, July 14, 2023. It will re-open for regular hours on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Patrons can access a range of services online during the closure (www.serviceontario.ca). These services are easy to use and available 24/7.

Fun for everyone July 14 – July 16

The wait is almost over! The 26th edition of the annual Stonetown Heritage Festival takes to the streets and parks of St. Marys in just over a weeks’ time.

Local duo “Now and Then” kicks off the Heritage Festival on Friday, July 14 covering an array of your favourite oldies. The free concert takes place at the Cadzow Park amphitheater from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. A free outdoor movie will follow at dusk, presented by The Friends of the St. Marys Public Library.

Traffic closures for Canada Day parade

Portions of James St. S, Queen St. E, Water St. S and Park St. will be closed on Saturday, July 1, 2023, for the St. Marys Canada Day parade.

The parade will leave the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 11:00 a.m. and proceed to Cadzow Park.

The following sections will be closed from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.:

  • James St. S from Meadowridge Dr. to Queen St. E
  • Queen St. E from James St. S to Water St. S
  • Water St. S from Queen St. E to Park St.
  • Park St. from Water St. S to Tracy St.

St. Marys Fire Department using vacant home for training

The St. Marys Fire Department has a new way to take part in some practical, real-world training, thanks to the generosity of Perth South resident Ken Smale.   

Smale’s former family home is currently vacant and set to be demolished later this month. The fire department has been using the empty space to conduct a range of exercises designed to augment the training firefighters receive at fire colleges or through on-the-job experiences.

Section of Wellington Street South to be closed on June 28

Please note that Wellington St. S will be closed from Queen St. E to Jones St. E on Wednesday, June 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. due to a traffic light repair.
