Train station closed for evening hours September 12 and 13

The St. Marys train station will be closed for evening hours (7:00 to 9:00 p.m.) on Tuesday, September 12 and Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

There will be no in-person ticket sales available during the closures. Tickets for VIA Rail service can be purchased online (www.viarail.ca) or by phone (1-888-VIA-RAIL); tickets for GO Train service can be purchased online (www.gotransit.com).

Section of Thomas Street closed due to water service repairs

Thomas Street will be closed from Westover Street to Ontario Street South on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for water service repairs.

The road will be completely closed to all traffic, including emergency services, during this time. Access to the Westover Inn will be available via Park Lane and Ontario Street South.

Upgrades underway at Rotary All Wheels Park

Park will remain open during construction

Upgrades to the Rotary All Wheels Park on James Street are officially underway.

Deputy Mayor Fern Pridham, members of the project steering committee and representatives from the Rotary Club of St. Marys gathered for a groundbreaking photo on Monday, September 11, 2023.

The group included Jean Rowcliffe, former Royal Family nanny and brothers Quin and Sully Bolton. Rowcliffe and the Boltons started the campaign to revamp the park in 2021.

The St. Marys Service Ontario office is closed today (September 13, 2023). It will re-open for regular hours on September 14, 2023.

Scrapbooking Garage Sale on Saturday, September 16 

A committee of volunteers and the St. Marys Friendship Centre are teaming up to hold a Scrapbooking Garage Sale on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The event with run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pyramid Recreation Centre (317 James St. S., Entrance C).

A variety of gently used or new crafting supplies will be available for purchase tax-free. Admission to the event is free. Please note that this event is cash only.
