Garbage and Recycling

The Town of St. Marys is committed to serving your disposal needs. We partner with Bluewater Recycling Association (BRA) to provide curbside garbage and recycling collection. Scheduling for all garbage and recycling pickups can be found on the BRA website. You can also report missed collections or request a new bin.

The Town also collects leaf and yard waste on select dates from the last week of April to mid-November. Leaf and yard waste can also be dropped off at the Municipal Operations Centre (408 James Street South) year-round. Visit the Leaf and Yard Waste page for full details. 

The Town also provides a landfill site, with competitive fees. The landfill accepts certain electronics, and leaf and yard waste for free. The landfill cannot accept waste from outside Town limits as per Ministry of Environment and Climate Change regulations.

In the case of disruptions such as inclement weather, you can check the status of collection on the BRA website. Bluewater Recycling Association also has a handy Recycle Coach Web App that you can use to view your calendar and setup collection reminders to your email. In the unlikely event that your garbage and recycling is not collected, you can also report a missed collection.
