The Town of St. Marys is reopening the doors of Council Chambers to the public prior to the regularly scheduled Council meeting for the first time after renovations to Town Hall (175 Queen St. E).

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., members of the public are encouraged to join staff and members of Council to check out the new and improved space.

Renovations to Town Hall began in October 2023 and focused on enhancing the second floor, which included Council Chambers. Improvements to Council Chambers feature a new floor layout, paint, flooring, desks, and updated audio-visual equipment to support in-person, virtual and live streamed meetings.

“We are thrilled to showcase the changes to Council Chambers,” says Town Clerk, Jenna McCartney. “We are confident that the updates to the space will enhance the experience for council and committee members, as well as the public.”

Everyone is welcome to attend this free open house event.

The regularly scheduled Council meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. following the event and will be open to the public as usual. For those who cannot attend in-person, all Council and committee meetings are available through the Town of St. Marys YouTube channel at www.townofstmarys.com/youtube.
