Engage and earn rewards at Speak Up St. Marys!

New engagement platforms provides St. Marys residents with opportunity to have their say in the Town’s annual budget

The Town of St. Marys has launched an exciting new initiative to gather resident’s ideas and opinions in order to create and ensure the annual budget reflects the Towns wants and needs.

Speak Up St. Marys provides residents with the opportunity to raise questions, vote on topics, provide feedback on municipal service levels, community concerns, and budget spending in general.

As a thank you, residents can earn exciting rewards for participating, including a tour of the new fire station with a fire truck ride, contest entries to win one of two Samsung Galaxy tablets, St. Marys Money, gift cards for the St. Marys Museum, and even lunch with the Mayor!

“We’ve received feedback that some residents do not know how to provide input or that they even have the opportunity.” Says Director of Finance/Treasurer Andre Morin. “Input from our residents is very important to us so we have launched Speak Up St. Marys as a fun and easy way to engage and provide us with valuable data during the annual budgeting process.”

To participate, residents simply need to create an account at speakupstmarys.mindmixer.com. Creating an account is quick and easy as only an email address, internet connection and less than a minute of time is needed. Participants can earn points by participating in surveys, instant polls, sharing with their social networks, submitting ideas and even commenting and rating other community members ideas.

“We really encourage the community to start the conversation and keep engaging over the next few months through Speak Up St. Marys.” Says Andre, “We’re very excited to hear what the town has to say.”
