Classes will be offered Mondays and Fridays at the YMCA starting November 3
Town of St. Marys Senior Services is adding another location to its falls prevention group exercise program. Beginning November 3, 2017, participants will be able to attend the Level 2 or “gentle” version of the classes at the St. Marys YMCA (268 Maiden Lane) on Mondays and Fridays at 1:30 p.m.
The program combines standing and seated exercises to help individuals aged 50 plus and persons with chronic conditions avoid potentially debilitating falls. No membership to the YMCA or Friendship Centre is required to participate; classes are free due to funding provided by the South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN).
Those interested can register in advance at the Friendship Centre on 317 James Street South or when they attend their first class. For further details, contact Pauline White, Senior Services Wellness Coordinator, at 519-284-2372, ext. 636 or pwhite@town.stmarys.on.ca.
