Masks no longer required at most municipal facilities

Starting today, visitors to most municipal facilities in St. Marys will no longer need to wear a mask or face covering. The Town is removing its mask mandate to align with the Province of Ontario’s plans to ease COVID-19 restrictions.

The only exceptions are the St. Marys Child Care Centre and the Town of St. Marys EarlyON Centre. Parents, caregivers and staff will be required to wear masks at these facilities until April 4, 2022.

For the safety of patrons – particularly the vulnerable and unvaccinated - staff at other Town facilities may choose to continue to wear masks. Members of the public who prefer to wear masks are welcome to do so, and all patrons are reminded to be respectful of each other’s choices and comfort levels.

The Town continues to encourage residents to follow remaining public health recommendations, like getting vaccinated and practicing good hand hygiene. Patrons are also asked to avoid visiting any Town facility if they are feeling ill.
