Back by popular demand, the St. Marys Museum will host its eighth annual Melodies at the Museum summer concert series on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. every week from July 17 to August 28. A different musical performer will take the performance stage at Cadzow Park each week, so there will be something for every musical taste.

Local favourites Corduroy Gordon will kick off the series on July 17. Sponsored by Hodges Funeral Home, this high-energy bluegrass band will have plenty of toes tapping! Corduroy Gordon offers traditional and contemporary folk covers, as well as genre-bending renditions of pop, alternative and hip-hop favourites, all sung in three-part harmony.

July 24 brings the Shananigans, sponsored by Kitchen Smidgen. Always energetic and entertaining, the Shananigans are a family friendly, crowd-pleasing East Coast Canadian band with a sound for all ages and any event.

On July 31, Melodies at the Museum welcomes award-winning local jazz vocalist Jennifer Thorpe and jazz guitarist Chris Norley to the stage. Sponsored by GoCo GraHam Energy, this extremely talented duo is not to be missed!

August will bring the Gee Gees sponsored by Veterinary Purchasing, Delaney Brooklyn and Jaron Camp sponsored by Harris-Greig Auto, Joseph and Marie Flynn sponsored by the Friends of the Museum, and The Blurry Pickers sponsored by Meet Me in St. Marys. Stay tuned for more detailed bios for our August performers.

Admission to the concerts is by donation, with all proceeds going to the St. Marys Museum. July performances will take place on the performance stage in Cadzow Park and will be moved to an indoor venue in inclement weather.
