Murdoch Mysteries headed back to St. Marys

The Town of St. Marys is once again proud to have been selected as a filming location for an episode of CBC Television's popular series, Murdoch Mysteries -- this time, standing in for different neighbourhoods of Toronto.

There will be a number of service disruptions in place during filming, including road closures and parking restrictions, which are listed below. Please note that this schedule is subject to change. Visit www.townofstmarys.com/murdochmysteries or follow the Town of St. Marys on Facebook or Twitter for regular updates and for information on the air date of the episode, once it becomes available.

June 25 (2:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. filming)

  • Road closure on Peel St. from Elgin to Jones St.
  • Road closure on Elgin St. from between Church and King St.

June 26 (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. filming)

  • Road closure on Church St. N.
  • On-street parking restrictions on Church St. N. from Queen St. to Church St. Bridge beginning in the morning
  • Intermittent traffic stoppages on Queen St.
  • The main entrance to the St. Marys Public Library off of Church St. will be closed. Patrons are encouraged to use the accessible entrance off of Queen St via the walkway through the cenotaph. The main entrance will re-open on Thursday, June 27.
  • Intermittent traffic stoppages on Water St. S.
  • On-street parking restrictions on Water St. S. beginning in the morning

June 27  (2:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. filming)

  • Intermittent traffic stoppages on Queen St.
  • Riverview Walkway closed along Victoria Bridge and Mill Race
  • On-street parking restrictions on Water St. N. beginning in the morning
  • Road closure on Water St. S. beginning in the afternoon
  • Intermittent traffic stoppages on Queen St. beginning in the afternoon
  • On-street parking restrictions on Water St. S. beginning in the morning

Please note that the street light illumination may be reduced in filming areas. Also, to accommodate the crew and their equipment, the Jones St. parking lot will be closed from the evening of June 25 to morning of June 28. The Water St. N. parking lot will be open, though may be partially occupied until the morning of June 28. Overnight parking permit holders for the Jones St. parking lot are instructed to utilize the Elgin St. parking lot across from Canadian Tire.
