Pass It On Store donates $500 to St. Marys Youth Centre

On Wednesday, March 27, Carey Pope, owner of the Pass It On Store, presented a cheque for $500 to the Youth Centre. The donation will be used to purchase much needed physical equipment such as pop-up hockey nets, goalie pads and helmets.

Since 2004, one of the mandates of the Pass It On Store has been to support youth programs in the local community. “This is a perfect fit for us,” Pope says.

Recreation Supervisor, Ciaran Brennan, who accepted the donation, echoed her sentiments, “We’re very grateful for the support Carey and Pass It On Store have shown the Youth Centre with the current donation and in the past.”

In order to continue growing its services, the Youth Centre is encouraging individuals and businesses to follow the Pass It On Store’s example. Donations of any amount are appreciated and can be dropped off at Guest Services at the Pyramid Recreation Centre (317 James Street South). Tax receipts will be issued by the Town of St. Marys for donations of $20 and more.
