Section of Elizabeth Street closed due to sanitary sewer replacement

Elizabeth Street closure

Elizabeth St. is closed from James St. S to Brock St. S to accommodate sanitary sewer replacement work that that is being done at the intersection of Huron St. S and Elizabeth St. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately three weeks.

Elizabeth St. residents will have access to their driveways throughout the closure and are asked to place their garbage and recycling to the curb as usual.

Huron Street closure

The Huron St. S closure has been extended and now spans from Queen St. E to Rogers Ave. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks.

Those residing on Huron St. S. between Elgin St. and Elizabeth St. are asked to park on side streets as driveway access will be limited.

Other impacts to residents

• A loud sanitary bypass pump will be used while the work is being done. The pump will be used during daytime hours only.
• Elgin Street E. and Jones Street E. remain closed between St. Andrews St. S and Brock St S.
