St. Marys Money is ready to circulate

Support over 40 local businesses with this fun financial initiative

What’s in your wallet? Beginning this week, St. Marys Money can be!

Whether it’s for the necessities of life, intended as a gift, or just a way to treat yourself, St. Marys Money is a feel-good way to spend money and support our community.

“St. Marys Money puts local spending power into shoppers’ wallets and business tills,” says Kelly Deeks-Johnson, Tourism and Economic Development manager for the Town. “It’s a fun way to shop and to give local while supporting area merchants hit hard by the pandemic.”

The process is simple: simply pay for your purchase with St. Marys Money, receive change back as cash, and the business will redeem the St. Marys Money for its full face value through the Town.

Available in denominations of $5, $10 and $20, St. Marys Money can be used as cash at 40 businesses throughout St. Marys – a full list of participating shops and services is on Page tk and can be found at www.townofstmarys.com/stmarysmoney.

Shoppers can also look for the red “St. Marys Money accepted here” decal on participating business doors and keep an eye on social media.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions at municipal facilities, those wishing to purchase St. Marys Money are asked to complete the reservation form at www.townofstmarys.com/stmarysmoney and make an appointment for pick-up at Town Hall or the Municipal Operations Centre. Purchasers can also call Town Hall at 519-284-2340 ext. 0 to reserve. Cash or cheque are the accepted forms of payment for St. Marys Money.
