The Holiday Light Tour, which launches on Monday, December 4, features over 15 beautifully lit and decorated homes. Download and print the map at www.discoverstmarys.ca/happyholidays. Hard copies of the map are available at municipal facilities. The self-guided tour runs until January 1, 2024.
Our wonderful WinterLights continue every evening from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Milt Dunnell Field. The ever-popular horse and wagon rides will return on December 15 and 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and December 23 and 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This beloved tradition is being offered at no charge thanks to the generosity of our WinterLights sponsors. New this year, is the first ever WinterLights Night Market, showcasing local vendors and artisans at Milt Dunnell Field from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on December 15 and 16. Enjoy holiday music, free horse and wagon rides, warm up by the fire, and purchase delicious food and hot drinks from the on-site food truck.
For indoor fun, check out the St. Marys Museum Open House on Sunday, December 3 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. which includes children’s crafts, festive treats, door prizes and a silent auction. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome. Browse the Musem’s “Holidays on Display,” exhibit running until Monday, January 15, 2024. From parades to retail storefronts, this exhibit examines the history of holiday displays in St. Marys.
The Pyramid Recreation Centre is also offering free skates and swims throughout the holiday season, thanks to sponsorships from the Downie Optimist Club, Petals and Foliage, and Avon Maitland Elementary Teachers Union.
