PRC also launching VIP Pregame program for grades 7 to 10
Select public ice-skating programs will return to the Pyramid Recreation Centre (PRC) this November after being on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday, November 5, the PRC is also launching a new Pregame VIP program for grades 7 to 10. The St. Marys Lincolns are generously providing youth attending that day with free admission to that night’s hockey game.
“We’re excited to bring back skating and introduce a new youth program.” Said Darcy Drummond, Recreation Supervisor. “Ice skating is a great way for people of all ages to get active, while our new Pregame VIP program will offer a casual, fun atmosphere for teenagers. We’re grateful to the Lincolns for their help promoting the Pregame program.”
Adult Skating (ages 18 and up) will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Lunchtime adult skating will also be available Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Admission fees are $5.25 for adults (18 to 64) and $5 for seniors (65 and older). Skating passes will also be available.
Tiny Tots Skating for caregivers and their children under age six will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The fee for Tiny Tots is $2 per family.
The Pregame VIP program for grades 7 to 10 will run every Friday from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Youth will be able to socialize and enjoy computers, television and videogames, while waiting to attend Lincolns’ home games. The cost to attend is a one-time fee of $10, which will enable youth to enjoy the program anytime throughout the hockey season.
“The Pregame program is a great addition.” Said Lincolns President Brandon Boyd. “Lincolns games are more than just sporting events, they are important social opportunities for the community and this program reflects that.”
