Town of St. Marys revs up for fifth annual Car Show

On Saturday, August 20, Milt Dunnell Field will travel back in time as it hosts the fifth annual St. Marys Car Show. The event is open to all vintage vehicles and is an opportunity for owners and enthusiasts to come together in a celebration of classic cars.

Registration for the event begins at 10:00 a.m. and is open until 12:00 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee for each car and the first 150 owners to arrive will receive a goodie bag that includes a souvenir dash plaque. Registrants will also be entered to win a variety of door prizes, which will be drawn between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

The Show ‘N Shine portion of the event will run from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., and is free for spectators. Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favourite vehicle, as the owner of the car with the most votes will win a ‘Best Vehicle’ prize pack.

Accompanying the classic cars will be a variety of food vendors, including Town of St. Marys Senior Services who will be serving up bacon on a bun.

A free shuttle will run from Milt Dunnell Field to Queen Street throughout the event, giving attendees an opportunity to explore St. Marys’ downtown core. While there, visitors can take part in the Car Show Scavenger Hunt, an interactive activity that will have them searching for mini versions of classic cars. Winners will be awarded with downtown dollars, which can be redeemed at participating shops and restaurants.
