Town of St. Marys to honour life of Prince Philip by lowering flags to half-mast

On April 9, 2021 the flags at Town Hall, Municipal Operations Centre and Pyramid Recreation Centre will be lowered to half-mast until sunset on the day of the funeral as per Federal customs for half-masting the National Flag of Canada.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle at the age of 99. He was the longest-serving royal consort in British history.

“On behalf of the Town of St. Marys, we wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and members of the Royal Family, on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.” Said Mayor Al Strathdee.
