Environment Canada is warning of a “crippling blizzard” that will impact St. Marys starting Friday, December 23, 2022 and into Saturday, December 24, 2022. The forecast includes heavy rain and snow, freezing temperatures, and very high winds.

In situations like these, information is key. Here are a few tips to help you weather the storm:

  • In case of power outages, call Festival Hydro at 519-271-4700 or 1-866-444-9370.
  • If you see a downed power line or a tree on a powerline, DO NOT approach it. Call 9-1-1 and Festival Hydro immediately.
  • If you come across a flooded roadway or downed trees on the road, call our Public Works Emergency Line at 1-866-750-8220.
  • All other emergencies should be directed to 9-1-1.

Our crews are fully prepared and equipped to clear snow from local roads and sidewalks. You can read more about how and when we remove snow on our website.
