Effective June 11, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the Town of St. Marys will be operating under Step One of Roadmap to Reopen. The following outlines changes and public health measures for Town services and programs.

Municipal Operations Centre and Town Hall

The Municipal Operations Centre and Town Hall will remain closed for drop-ins. Pre-arranged appointments and drop-box services are still available. Please call 519-284-2340 to book.  Anyone entering any Town facility must complete a COVID-19 screening form before entering.

Camp PRC

Camp PRC registration is now available online at www.townofstmarys.com/campPRC. Camp programs will run from July 5 to September 3 and will adhere to all COVID-19 regulations set out by the Government of Ontario.

Aquatics Centre and Quarry

The pool will remain closed. The Quarry will open June 19 and will be subject to restrictions. Please visit www.townofstmarys.com/quarry for more information.

Youth Centre

In-person activities for the Youth Centre will remain closed. Youth-based virtual programming will continue.

Friendship Centre

The Friendship Centre remains closed for indoor, in-person programming. Outdoor programing is being determined and details will be announced as soon as they are available.  The Friendship Centre will continue to offer health services such as Footcare and Blood Pressure Screening, as well as virtual and telephone programs.  Community Wellness Programs such as meal delivery, social connection calls and shopping support will continue. Those coming to the PRC for Friendship Centre health service programs must use the Friendship Centre entrance.

St. Marys Public Library

The Library will remain closed for in-person services with the exception of access to computers and photocopiers which are available by request for up to 60 minutes.  Due to screening requirements, services only be offered via the Queen St. entrance. The Library will continue to offer curbside pick-up, home delivery and the book chute on Queen St. remains open for returns.  The Library will remain fine free while still under COVID-19 restrictions.  Visit stmaryspubliclibrary.ca for hours of operation.

Adult Learning Programs

Virtual learning opportunities will continue to be available. Please contact 519-374-8232 or email alearning@town.stmarys.on.ca for more information.

Playgrounds and Outdoor Recreation

All municipal playgrounds remain open on a “use at your own risk” basis. Residents are reminded to avoid using playgrounds if they are feeling sick, to wash their hands before and after use, and to practice physical distancing while at our playgrounds.
Tennis and Pickleball courts are open and subject to restrictions. Soccer fields and baseball diamonds are open for training purposes and are limited to 10 people with additional restrictions.

St. Marys Museum

The museum will remain closed.

St. Marys VIA Rail Station and Station Gallery

The St. Marys VIA Rail Station is open daily for customer service and ticket sales between 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m (Including statutory holidays). Station Gallery remains closed.

Landfill

The landfill will continue to operate for regular hours of operation. Payments must be made through debit or credit cards as cash will not be accepted.

Yard Waste Depot

Open for regular hours.
