How Does St. Marys Money Work?
The process is simple:
- Simply pay for your purchase with St. Marys Money
- Receive change back as cash
- The business will redeem the St. Marys Money for its full face value through the Town.
How Can I Get St. Marys Money?
St. Marys Money is available in denominations of $5, $10 and $20. Request yours today via this simple form for pickup at Town Hall (175 Queen Street East) or the Municipal Operations Centre (408 James Street South) during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Please treat your St. Marys Money as cash; if lost or stolen, it cannot be replaced.

Do you accept St. Marys Money and have some you need to reimburse?
Here are the steps to take as a merchant to accept and reimburse St. Marys Money:
- You will accept St. Marys Money as if it were regular cash. If a customer requires change from a St. Marys Money bill, you will give back the change in regular cash. Please make all staff aware that the business accepts St. Marys Money and the process to do so.
- You then bring in the St. Marys Money you have received in an envelope to the Town Hall with the following required information on the envelope:
- Business Name
- Mailing Address (where the cheque will be sent to)
- Amount handed in
- In lieu of writing this out, you can also just include a business card with all of this info within the envelope
- You can bring the St. Marys Money in for reimbursement at any time during opening hours of Town Hall (8:30 am – 4:30 pm). There is no certain amount you need to have before you bring it in for reimbursement.
- You will then receive a cheque for the amount of St. Marys Money you handed in via mail within 7-10 business days.
