The Stratford Police Service provides policing for the Town of St. Marys and has an office located in Town Hall (175 Queen Street East).
A dedicated Community Resource Officer polices St. Marys from Monday to Friday, usually between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. The officer’s hours may change occasionally if he is required to attend an evening event. The officer has a range of duties, including:
- Community relations
- School relations
- Investigations
A Stratford Police cruiser is also on patrol in St. Marys 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Record checks
There are two convenient options for obtaining record checks:
- Online: Go to the Record Checks page on the Stratford Police's website to request the record check. Completed record checks will be delivered to the Stratford Police office in St. Marys Town Hall for pick-up. In cases where timing is urgent, residents can also pick up completed record checks directly from Stratford Police headquarters (17 George Street West).
- In person: Visit Stratford Police headquarters (17 George Street West) to complete the paperwork in person.
