Please note the following service disruptions in the event of a possible Canada Post strike. 

Payment Options 

If a Canada Post strike causing an interruption to mail services occurs, residents are recommended to make tax payments by: 

  • Telephone/internet banking: Please contact your financial institution regarding this payment option. A 19-digit property roll number will be the account number. 

  • In-person: In-person payments can be made by cash and debit at Town Hall (175 Queen St. E) and the Municipal Operations Centre (408 James Street South) during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). A drop box is available at lower level of Town Hall and the front door of the Municipal Operations Centre for cheques only.  

  • Pre-authorized payments: Residents can pay taxes in 12 monthly or four quarterly installments (last business day of February, May, August and October). Taxes are deducted from bank account the first banking day of the month. Please complete a  Pre-Authorized Tax Payment Form  to enroll in the pre-authorized payment program.

St. Marys Public Library – Interlibrary Loan Services 

The St. Marys Public Library Interlibrary Loan Services will be suspended if a Canada Post strike occurs.
