Interlibrary Loan is a way of borrowing and lending of material between library systems. If an item cannot be found in the library catalogue your St. Marys Public Public Library card allows you to have access to libraries and archives across Canada. You are entitled to order 2 interlibrary loans per patron per week.
Most public or government libraries in Canada will loan material free of charge. If your request can be filled from one of these libraries there will be no charge to you. If a fee is charged, this will be passed on to you. We do not order from these libraries without your permission. The charges are added to your account at the Library and must be paid when picking up the book.
You can request an interloan in person at the library.
Interloan items may take 1 - 4 weeks to reach your local library.
Interlibrary loans can only be renewed by contacting the library.
